Shahir Md Zuki

Ustaz Mazrul is an Islamic finance professional connecting Shariah research, governance, talent development and market strategy. His experience spans research institutions, banking, asset management, Islamic social finance and the halal industry.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Islamic Studies and Shariah from the University of Saba', Yemen, and a Master's degree in Islamic Banking, Finance and Management from the University of Gloucestershire, United Kingdom. This academic foundation is reinforced by professional experience in research, consultancy and institutional delivery.

For approximately a decade, he worked across business development, research and Shariah consultancy through ISRA Consulting and the INCEIF ecosystem. He also served on the MIDF Shariah Committee and as Shariah adviser to MIDF Amanah Asset Management.

His contributions include training for directors of Islamic financial institutions, guideline development, research publications and work involving waqf, zakat and capacity building. This experience strengthens AMWAL's approach to clear, documented and accountable Shariah decisions.

As Founder and Chief Shariah Officer of AMWAL, he contributes Shariah, governance and strategic expertise to help the organisation connect principles with market realities.
